2km4_Pour une écologie joyeuse is a project that brings together artists, scientists and residents around a 2km4 survey line between the Yvette valley “below” and the Saclay plateau “above”. Exhibitions and performances in Orsay and Saclay will provide an opportunity to discover the research carried out during the residency.
In an area undergoing profound change, 2km4 Pour une écologie joyeuse aims to create a link between the valley and the plateau, between the landscapes and the living beings, human and non-human, who inhabit them. Since 2023, this project has been supported by SIANA, an artistic laboratory and resource center for digital and hybrid cultures in Essonne and the southern Paris region. It takes many forms: artistic and scientific research, exhibitions, performances, artistic practices, scientific exchanges, surveys, attention to plants, soil, water, breathing and radio 2km4.
The exhibition at Lumen brings together artistic creations, the fruit of research and exchanges over nearly two years. Each 2km4 exhibition represents a new stage in the sharing of a sensitive approach to the territory, nourished by the paths and writings of the living.
Installation of pieces produced during the first residency period: La peau du chemin, fleurs de vent, cartographie en carillons éolien, nos microbiotes, son et rid-eaux.
