At the MuMo, "Devenirs hybrides".
Exhibition from 3 June to 29 September 2024, touring the Île-de-France, Normandy and Hauts-de-France regions.
Part of the Frac Île-de-France's "Vieilles coques & jeunes récifs" programme, marks the MuMo's tour of the Cultural Olympiad to coincide with the Olympic Games.
Curated by Marine Guerbois and Rémi Enguehard, it brings together works by artists based on the concept of hybridity and the imaginary worlds of science fiction.

Devenirs hybrides focuses on the hybridisation of bodies. In their quest for performance, sportspeople call on a variety of technologies, often in a biomimetic approach.
In their representations, as in performances on their own bodies, artists too play with the blurred boundaries between nature and culture to question our humanity. Merging with living things in all their forms conjures up fictions that are as futuristic as they are ancient, blending different cultural traditions? The world encompasses human beings, and is not just an environment that surrounds them. Hybridization with the machine reminds us that technology inhabits our bodies and its representations, and also underpins the perpetual quest for performance that governs our societies.
