From 12th to 15th October 2012 Recoleta cultural cente , Buenos Aires, Argentina
PHASE 4 - Post ecology; towards a sustainable nature and culture

4th edition of FASE, an encounter between art and technology.

This event brings together more than 20 institutions that encourage and promote the art of more than 150 artists working at the crossroads of science, art and technology.
On this occasion, we are once again at the Recoleta Cultural Centre to address a theme that revolves around the axis of post-ecology, a reflection on the immediate needs for the survival of our planet.

Presentation of the film Acclimatisation,
2009, 19' 53'' , colour (16mm, mini dv, super 8) retranscribed in dvdimage: Denis Louis, Karine Bonneval / with : Erick Auguste / music : Lembe Lokk, Jean-Christophe Onno.
Produced with the support of Pôle Image Haute-Normandie.

"Acclimatisation" follows the evolution of a solitary character, half gardener, half mad scientist, who lives in a self-sufficient greenhouse. This man, inspired by the dandy Des Esseintes from the novel "A rebours", has built his world around plants. He carries out strange operations on his plant residents and on himself to gradually become a plant.
Strange races in the primary forest populate his dreams and accompany his changing days.
The botanical greenhouse becomes the embodiment of our desire to take control of nature: plants from virgin forests, brought back and kept artificially alive in glass microcosms; studied, transformed in our image.
