Resolutely visual art, the Vendôme triennal presents, from 23 May to 31 October 2015, a panorama of creation in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Through 25 projects, some thirty artists exhibit their work through installations (sculptures, videos, photographs, photographs, paintings, drawings, etc.) created for the occasion, mainly at the Rochambeau carousel - a remarkable historical building to be discovered, but also at the Musée de Vendôme and in the city.
Curators Nadège Piton and Damien Sausset.
Makarka is an installation of 23 black tinted massaged sugar loaves. Their seductive glittering appearance does not completely mask the telluric side and reminding us that historically the sugar trade was based on triangular trade.
