The Chaire arts & sciences summer school took place on July 1 & 2 at the Théâtre de la Ville for a weekend of encounters, interactive performances, participatory installations, conversations and conferences, the fruit of an intensive week of research and creation at the Institut polytechnique de Paris for 50 artists, designers, scientists and students - selected following an international call for entries.

Planting yourself with the Japanese Aralia: a hands-on installation for making contact with a plant via a connected mat.
An electronic device enables a sensor to vibrate according to the aralia's electrical flow. Translated into vibrations, all you have to do is sit barefoot in the carpet's alcoves to feel them. Take the time to feel this vital flow, common to all living beings, transmitted to the soles of your feet. By touching the copper leaves, we can then perceive our own electrical flow translated into vibrations, whose intensity then changes.
