Reunion Island Creole headdress. people reduced into slavery sometimes hid seeds from their homeland in their hair before being deported. The seed as a symbol of the motherland, as wealth for the future. Peanut seeds have been sown into two ceramic busts, whose plaited plant fiber headdress is based on images of hairstyles photographed by J.D. Okhai Ojeikere.
