Is it possible to stand up straight like a plant, by activating our perceptions of gravity and the body's limits? A human-plant duo. The set for the first film, shot at PIAF, is a 360° sphere, developed as part of space research to study the behavior of plants outside their terrestrial environment. This sphere enables plants to lose their sense of gravity and isolate the proprioceptive properties of tree phototropism. The film was produced frame by frame over a two-week continuous experiment, at a rate of 2 images per hour. The second film is based on the first. The performer uses micro-movements and internal tensions to blend in with the plant's movements... But these postures are almost impossible for a human being.
Portable installation
2 posture rooms for viewing the film, cp, ficus, ceramics, carpet, uv lamps.
Viewers of the film are also invited to act on their own bodies and experience a transformed gravity
by sitting in posture rooms inclined at 35°. On a carpet, ficus trees accompany us in this upright movement. The idea is to physically experience time and the perception of plants for a moment, by putting our inner ear to the test. Share a moment with a plant in upright action.
